The Orwells son un grupo de Chicago y lo suyo es hacer canciones cortas pero feroces, con guitarras afiladas y voces desafinadas que gritan y cantan letras un tanto tristes. Son una de las bandas jóvenes que más han llamado la atención de los medios este 2013. Al final es la historia de la pandilla de la prepa que hizo una banda y ganaron algunos fans.
El día de hoy, a manera de explicar un poco los inicios de la banda, The Orwells publicaron la primera canción que ensayaron como grupo y la divertida historia al rededor de ella. Se trata, como muchas bandas que salieron en la década de los dosmiles, de un cover a The Strokes. “Barely Legal” del debut de los neoyorkinos fue la que escogieron estos cinco chicos de Chicago para decidir que sí querían armar una banda y que realmente no eran tan malos como creían.
