Ayer por la noche sucedió la 54ª entrega de los Grammy Awards en el Staples Center en Los Angeles. La ceremonia contó con actos en vivo de Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, Dave Grohl, Jennifer Hudson, Nicki Minaj, Tony Bennet, Carrie Underwood, David Guetta, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Alicia Keys, Bonnie Raitt, Glen Campbell, The Band Perry, Blake Shelton, The Civil Wars, Taylor Swift, Adele, Maroon 5, Foster the People, Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Coldplay y el esperado regreso de The Beach Boys. Durante la ceremonia, constantemente se lamentaba la reciente muerte de Whitney Houston y también se rindió homenaje a Don Cornelius, Etta James, Gil Scott-Heron y Gerard Smith.
La indiscutible ganadora de la noche fue Adele, llevándose todos los premios para los que fue nominada.
