¡Qué emoción! Cada vez falta menos para que veamos a la banda liderada por Dave Grohl en nuestro país y en uno de los mejores festivales del año. Así es, estamos halando del Corona Capital. Aunque el anuncio del festival salió de sorpresa, en realidad fuimos nosotros los que quedamos anonadados al ver semejante cartel.

Foo Fighters viene a demostrar que el rock no está muerto y que a pesar de vivir en una época donde los ritmos latinos además de los DJs dominan el mundo, ellos prefieren hacer las cosas a la vieja usanza con guitarras y gritos estremecedores.

Hoy están de regreso con un nuevo single y video y es justo lo que necesitábamos para empezar bien el día, pues si eres fan de la banda, sabes perfectamente que el último material que lanzaron fue hace dos largos años.

“Run” es el nombre del single y Dave Grohl fue el encargado de dirigir este divertido video de 6 minutos.

Spanning a generous five-and-a-half minutes, the song is one that should please every kind of Foo fan. It all begins on a rather gentle note, the opening comprised of soft guitars and Grohl’s morning whisper: “Wake up, run for your life with me.” But it’s not long, just 40 or so seconds, before the tenderness is cut short and replaced by a cascade of crashing drums and ferocious guitars straight out of the breakdown of a metal or noise-rock juggernaut. Gone, too, are Grohl’s coos, as he can be heard screeching and screaming like a madman on a mission. By the end of the whole thing, you’ll have the air knocked right out of ya.
